Today, we are pleased to share a conversation with Manuel Rodrigues, our Client Manager dedicated to supporting your elevator modernization projects. He reveals his extensive experience in the elevator industry and his role within OCTÉ Lift.

CAN YOU INTRODUCE YOURSELF ?

My name is Manuel Rodrigues, and after completing initial training in electrotechnics, I have accumulated 30 years of experience in the elevator industry. My career began in the field, where I learned to understand the components of an elevator by participating in their construction. Although my training seemed to prepare me for technical roles like maintenance, I initially started on construction sites, an experience that allowed me to gain practical insights into the trade.

Over time, I sought to grow and joined the estimation department. My role involved evaluating project feasibility and costs, which I then relayed to the sales representatives managing the projects. This hybrid position enabled me to combine fieldwork with office tasks while developing my communication skills with suppliers. This experience was highly enriching from a professional standpoint.

After three years, feeling I had fully explored this role, I decided to delve into another part of the industry by joining a control bureau. My responsibilities included verifying the compliance and safety of elevator doors, monitoring parking doors, and overseeing elevator project execution (planning, quality of work) for elevator companies. This experience was a turning point as it allowed me to develop strong client relationship skills.

I then continued my progression by taking on a commercial role in selling elevator modernization solutions, followed by a position as an agency manager specializing in interior cabin renovations. These varied experiences provided me with a comprehensive understanding and in-depth knowledge of the many aspects of an ever-evolving industry.

Four months ago, I joined the OCTÉ Lift team, where I enjoy applying my expertise to support the company and its clients. This is an exciting new chapter in my career, and I am pleased to contribute to the ambitious projects led by OCTÉ.

WHAT DOES YOUR ROLE AT OCTÉ LIFT ENTAIL ?

As a Client Manager, my role is to listen to clients, analyze their needs, and identify the most tailored solutions, whether for elevator modernization or maintenance. This hybrid position, shared between fieldwork and office tasks, enables me to optimize each project by working closely with technical and commercial teams.

One of my personal goals is to enhance OCTÉ Lift’s added value by fostering closer relationships with clients. What I appreciate most? The diversity of tasks that combine analysis, design, and implementation, all with a client-focused service approach.

CAN YOU DESCRIBE LIFE AT OCTÉ LIFT ?

OCTÉ Lift provides a pleasant and well-located work environment. Based at our office in Hauts-de-Seine, I am naturally close to my Parisian clients. I also appreciate the team spirit and the availability of my colleagues, which foster mutual support in managing projects.

The warm welcome and thoughtful integration I received have strengthened my connection to the company. Among the standout moments, I fondly recall the annual barbecue a convivial event that perfectly reflects OCTÉ Lift’s values of collaboration and connection.

WHAT IS YOUR VISION FOR THE ELEVATOR INDUSTRY ?

Elevators are more than just a means of transport; they are an essential service that must constantly adapt to user needs. I see significant potential for growth in user interactivity and the digitalization of services a field in which OCTÉ Lift is already making progress.

With a team of skilled engineers and customized solutions, OCTÉ Lift is well-positioned to anticipate new demands in the sector, particularly in modernization.

WHAT MESSAGE WOULD YOU LIKE TO SHARE ABOUT OCTÉ LIFT AND ITS SERVICES ?
